Why Almyra

Almyra brings a contemporary, design-led Mediterranean feel that very few Cyprus venues match.

Almyra is a Thanos Hotels flagship and it shows. Clean architectural lines, considered styling, ocean-blue accents, and a seafront position right in the middle of Paphos. Most Cyprus resorts feel accidental next to it. If you want destination wedding photography that looks like somewhere specific, this is one of the strongest choices on the island.

The location earns its keep too. Being in Paphos proper rather than out at a remote resort means guests can walk to things, and portraits have a whole town within range. You get polish and convenience at once, which is rarer than it sounds.

Almyra is one of the rare Cyprus venues that photographs as if it was designed for the camera in the first place.

What Almyra Does Best On Camera

Three reasons Almyra is such a strong photographic venue.

Almyra has real visual character without ever feeling decorated. The photography just leans into what's already there.

Roof Terrace & Seafront Ceremonies

The roof terrace is one of the most distinctive ceremony spots in Cyprus: ocean horizon, clean lines, the full sea breeze. The seafront location works as the alternative for bigger weddings.

The Almyra roof terrace ceremony is one of the most photographable in Cyprus.

Contemporary Design In Every Frame

Almyra was renovated with blue and white palettes, natural materials and lighting that someone clearly thought about. Detail photographs and getting-ready coverage benefit enormously.

Almyra interiors handle getting-ready photography beautifully.

Central Paphos On Foot

Portraits can walk straight out of the hotel to the harbour, the old town or the coastal path. That gives Almyra weddings more visual range than any resort venue.

Walking-distance Paphos portraits add genuine variety to Almyra coverage.

What Almyra Couples Say

Liam was absolutely amazing on our wedding day. He made us and our guests feel so comfortable, cracking jokes and even enjoying the party with us while capturing the most incredible footage.

Recent Almyra couple

The venue is polished, but the day should still feel like yours. Staying out of the way while still being part of it is the balance Almyra weddings ask for.

Almyra Coverage

Photography and film both thrive at this venue.

Almyra repays both. Photography handles the design-led detail; film catches the sea breeze and the energy of the place.

Almyra Wedding Film

An Almyra wedding film earns its place. The sea breeze, the architecture and the atmosphere all behave differently in motion than they do in a still frame.

  • Roof terrace, seafront and central Paphos coverage all included.
  • Drone footage available, subject to harbour airspace coordination on the day.
  • Combined photo and film suits Almyra. The venue carries more atmosphere than stills alone can hold.

Almyra Planning Notes

A few things that consistently improve Almyra wedding coverage.

Almyra repays couples who use the hotel deliberately. These are the decisions that make the biggest difference.

Use The Roof Terrace If You Can

Under 80 guests, the roof terrace is the strongest choice you can make. The sea horizon and the architecture give you photographs that look like nowhere else in Cyprus.

Plan Around The Paphos Sun

Central Paphos is exposed. A 5pm ceremony in peak summer is far kinder to your guests than 3pm, and the late-afternoon light is better anyway.

Build In A Short Old-Town Portrait Walk

Fifteen minutes out of the hotel into the old town gives you a completely different set of portraits. No single decision adds more range to an Almyra gallery.

Venue and Booking Questions

Questions couples ask before booking.

If your plans are more specific than the questions below, get in touch and we'll talk the day through properly.

Is the Almyra roof terrace ceremony spot really worth it?

Under 80 guests, yes. It's one of the most photogenic ceremony locations in Cyprus. Above 80 it gets tight and the seafront spot makes more sense.

Can you photograph an Almyra wedding alongside the hotel coordinator?

Yes, we work with the Almyra wedding team regularly. Their planning process is one of the most organised on the island, which makes the day easy to cover.

Does drone coverage work at Almyra?

Usually, with some coordination around Paphos harbour airspace. We confirm conditions on the day and cover from the ground if flying isn't viable.

Can portraits extend into central Paphos?

Yes, and we push for it. A fifteen to twenty minute walk into the old town doubles the variety in the gallery without disrupting the day at all.

Does Almyra suit smaller destination weddings?

Yes. It's at its best between 20 and 100 guests. Beyond that you start to outgrow the venue, and the sister Thanos hotel Annabelle becomes the better fit.

Planning An Almyra Wedding

If Almyra is your venue, tell us which ceremony location and the date.

Send the ceremony spot (roof terrace, seafront or off-site) and the guest count, and say if film is in the picture. You'll get availability and itemised coverage back.
